Patrick came to me at 4 years old. He’s a loving boy who wants to please me. Other than an efficient swimmer and retriever, he gets obsessions for things – like stuffed animals, gloves and toilet paper to name a few and he’s absolutely tenacious in getting to them. This has probably helped him in his other talent. He’s my first NACSW Nose Work dog. I was lucky to learn the sport with him. He is now the first NACSW Elite level pointer ever. Before I got him, he had a successful show career winning Dog of Year in New Zealand, Pointer specialties and gaining championships. With me on the end of the leash, we won all our Canadian championship points with placements as well two Sporting Group wins and a Reserve BIS at one of the biggest shows in Canada. But best of all he’s my goofy, loyal boy who is now bright eyed about new challenges.
