My first pointer. He was a calm, steady boy who would do anything for me. He was the type that was effortlessly in charge and could calm other dogs down just by his presence. He was drawn to wounded people and often gravitated to the most compromised person in a room. He would have made an amazing therapy dog. When I look at his photos now, it’s clear that he was born an old soul – very wise. I was lucky to have him and he started my love affair with the breed.
